A 24-week, data-driven endurance programme for men in their 40s and 50s. It takes the fitness you have and builds it, progressively, into genuine readiness for five days on the French Riviera, between the Giens Peninsula, Porquerolles, and Mont Sainte-Victoire. Not an endurance holiday, and not a fitness course from zero: a structured, performance-driven programme that turns you into a genuinely well-rounded, cross-discipline athlete.
11 January – 27 June 2027. The build runs to a five-day camp in May, then keeps going. Five more weeks together to recover from the overload and carry the gains into your own season.
A 45-minute introductory call to understand your goals, history, and constraints. From there we create a personalised TrainingPeaks account, so we can follow your existing form and build your plan for the camp ahead.
Sixteen deliberate weeks building running and cycling volume, with swimming (for those who enjoy it) and core woven throughout, plus trail runs on sustained vertical and controlled descending. From Week 10 you join the cohort's private thread and meet everyone on a video call before camp.
Five days of progressive training and recovery across the French Riviera, Porquerolles, and Mont Sainte-Victoire. Fully supported by a certified mountain guide and comprehensive insurance, so you can push hard on remote terrain while properly protected.
Five weeks after the camp, not a single wind-down week. First a guided recovery block to absorb the overload without breaking down, then a consolidation phase that locks in the gains and sets you up with a personalised plan to carry the momentum into your own goals and competitive season.
This isn't a plan handed over once and left on autopilot. Every week is a structured, data-backed conversation about exactly where your fitness stands and what comes next.
A recurring, dedicated 45-minute catch-up each week, not an automated email. We review your training load, where you stand against the plan, and what you've completed, then recalibrate the week ahead around how your body is actually responding and around your schedule and capacity to train.
Every session you log on Garmin, from heart rate and pace to sleep and recovery, feeds into TrainingPeaks, where we track fitness and fatigue over time rather than session by session. That's how we know whether a hard week is building you up or grinding you down, and when to add load or back off, nutrition included.
We go past pace and heart rate into the biomechanics that separate plateaued runners from genuinely high-performing ones: vertical oscillation, ground contact time, and stride length. We use these structural markers to correct inefficiencies and turn steady, average runners into consistent, high-output performers.
There's no fixed template here. Every week is built around you, how you're recovering, what your calendar allows, and where your fitness actually is, then blended across running, cycling, strength and, if you enjoy it, swimming. If you already play another sport, it's folded into the plan rather than replaced by it. The point isn't to fill your week with hard sessions. It's to make the sessions you do count, and to leave you fresher than a generic plan ever would.
This programme is built for the man who wants to hold on to his peak years rather than watch them slip away. You're likely balancing a career and a family, but you've never quite lost the competitive edge. Maybe you've hit a plateau, or you're just tired of training without a point to it. You're someone who does better with structure and a real goal to aim at, and you're up for five memorable days on the French Riviera at the end of it.
Your base for the week is a private villa on the French Riviera, pool included, a proper space to land after a long day on the trails. Evenings are spent on the terrace, going through the day's numbers with the group: pace, load, how the legs are holding up, and what tomorrow needs. It's also a chance to unwind together, a few drinks on the terrace before an early night, ready to do it all again the next day.
Nutrition is taken care of throughout camp, so all you need to focus on is training hard and recovering well. Someone cooks for the group each day, with meals built around what the week's training actually demands. Dietary requirements are collected ahead of arrival, so everyone eats exactly what works for them from day one.
I'm 42, and I train at the level I'm asking you to reach, not from the sidelines. I raced triathlon as a teenager, spent years in a competitive swim club, and I still run, cycle, lift and paddle today. I've been coached by a professional myself, and I complete my own endurance-coaching certification just as this cohort begins.
That range of disciplines matters here. These 24 weeks blend running, cycling, swimming and strength, and I've raced or trained seriously in all of them. Alongside the certification, I'm completing an internship with a physiotherapist focused specifically on injury prevention. The goal isn't just building fitness; it's making sure your body can actually absorb the training without breaking down.
Sharing an age bracket with the athletes I coach matters too. Your plan is built by someone who understands what training has to fit around, not just how it should look on paper.
None of this is a test you pass or fail. It's just an honest picture of where you'll want to be on day one, so the programme can take you somewhere from there rather than spend twelve weeks catching up. If you're close on any of these, let's talk anyway, the intro call is exactly for that.
You can comfortably cover 10K without it wrecking you. As a rough guide, a 10K somewhere around the hour, or a half marathon under two hours, puts you nicely in range. We build the pace together from wherever you're starting.
No weekly mileage to hit before you apply. Volume is added gently over the six months and shaped around your body and your calendar, never dumped on you all at once.
You can walk or jog a sustained 200 to 300m hill climb without it being the hardest thing you've ever done. Everything mountain-specific beyond that, we build through the programme.
More than anything, this rewards turning up consistently rather than chasing heroic sessions. If you can find a regular, sustainable rhythm around work and family, you're exactly who this is built for.
Six months, billed monthly from January. 24 weeks of personal coaching: weekly one-on-one reviews, a fully personalised TrainingPeaks plan, and ongoing adjustments around your schedule and training load.
All-inclusive, 19–24 May: 4 nights at the villa, all meals, ground transport, certified mountain guide, island transits, and full insurance including repatriation. Travel to the destination and transfers to the villa are not included.
It's the peak of a 24-week coaching programme (T24-5-1P): five days of progressive endurance training on the French Riviera, across the Giens Peninsula, Porquerolles island, and the Sainte-Victoire ridge above Aix-en-Provence. It is capped at five athletes and supported by a certified mountain guide. It runs 19–24 May 2027.
Men in their 40s and 50s who want to rebuild real, everyday endurance capability, not to peak for a single race. If you're balancing a career and a family but refuse to let your fittest years slip away, this was built for you. It is not an ultra-trail camp and requires no race on your calendar.
Most endurance camps prepare experienced trail runners for a specific ultra, whether UTMB, CCC, or Tor des Géants. This is broader and gentler on the entry side: it blends running, cycling, swimming, strength and vertical terrain to build cross-discipline capability you keep for the next twenty years, rather than a peak for one start line.
On the French Riviera. You stay in a private villa with a pool near the Giens Peninsula, run the coastal paths and Mont Faron crest, ferry to Porquerolles for a run-swim-run loop, and take on the Sainte-Victoire ridge skyrace above Aix-en-Provence as the queen stage.
You need a solid aerobic base, not elite fitness. As a rough guide, being comfortable covering 10K (around the hour, or a half marathon under two hours) and able to walk or jog a sustained 200 to 300m hill climb puts you in range. None of it is a pass-or-fail test, and the 24 weeks of coaching build you the rest of the way. If you're close, the intro call is the place to talk it through.
No. There's no set template, and no two weeks look the same. Each week is built around how you're recovering, what your calendar allows, and where your fitness actually is, blended across running, cycling, strength and, if you enjoy it, swimming. Your own existing sport is folded in rather than replaced. It's all tracked in TrainingPeaks against your Garmin data, so the plan adapts to you rather than the other way round.
24 weeks, a full six months, from 11 January to 27 June 2027. Coaching builds progressively to the camp in May, then continues for around five weeks afterward to recover and carry the gains into your own season.
Coaching is CHF 390 per month, billed monthly over the six months. The five-day camp is priced separately: CHF 3,300 shared twin or CHF 3,800 private room, all-inclusive of the villa, all meals, ground transport, certified mountain guide, island transits and full insurance. Travel to the destination is not included.
Strictly five athletes per cohort. That cap keeps the coaching genuinely personal and makes the camp a small, committed group rather than a tour.
